Learning and development occur at an incredible pace in the years before a child starts school. Children who have delays, are at risk due to low birth weight or prematurity early intervention through education and therapy can make a big difference. It is not necessary to have a diagnosis before starting this program. Many parents that are concerned their child is not reaching their targeted milestones reach out to us for support. Research indicates helping children in their earliest years (newborn to age six) significantly improves their later skills and development.

Early intervention has many benefits. It reduces long-term social, emotional and school-related problems, reduces the need for future specialized services, assists with a smoother transition to school, and enables parents understand and cope with the disability.

If your child has been diagnosed with a delay or has a disability such as Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome or Autism, Stepping Stones can maximize their development in those crucial early years.
